**You can see a listing of blog posts and ideas in the ARCHIVE to the right. Click on the arrow to expand the listing under each month heading. You can also do a search for specific key words or click on the keyword in the tag cloud for all posts with that keyword.**
The purpose of this blog is to provide open communication on ideas to bring more art to our "arts-focused" school. If we get the help of interested parents then a lot of these ideas can happen.
We have the support of the PTA to raise money and provide funds (as available) for these projects, but nothing will come to fruition unless our parent community steps up to lead and help those who are leading the way. If you are a parent that wonders 'where is the art?' then we need your help. We'll make helping as family-friendly as possible so please consider doing your part for art!
We'll be posting thoughts in detail for items not yet posted as soon as we have time.
- Musical Forest - build/make simple rhythm instruments out of bamboo, wood, pipes, etc. and provide them in the Quad area for musical exploration
- The Big Draw - Make a really big canvas and invite everyone to put pencil (markers, crayons, pens) to paper and just draw and make marks
- Campus Beautification - various ideas to liven up our campus and make art more visible
- Parent Art Show - A chance for artistic/musical parents to show their talents
- Art workshops
- Craft Extravaganza
- Linking Literature with ART - art make and takes based on literature
